Since 1921

Five generations of fresh

One family, one farm, and over one hundred years of milking cows at Bent Farm, Astbury.

The Family

It started with Great Great Great Grandpa Sutton

Our family has been milking cows at Bent Farm for over 100 years, dating back to 1921 when Great Great Great Grandpa Sutton started the herd. Fast forward a couple of generations and Grandpa Sutton converted to the Rowarton Herd of pedigree Holstein Friesian cows.

The size of the herd has fluctuated over the years, but today we’re happily milking 100 head of cows through our milking robot, less than 25 metres away from where you’re served your milk and milkshakes. How’s that for fresh?
